Looking for something new?
The end of a year-long hiatus in posting is coming in less than 2 months. Who knew that retirement would be so 'busy??' But there it is. I did a lot of travelling last year--to hiker gatherings, to do some backpacking, to visit family and friends, and to do trail work. This year I'm mostly staying home. I have a new part-time job doing trail work for our city's Parks and Recreation Department. There are LOTS of trails in our parks, so there's plenty of work to be done. But I'm going to try to find time to talk about books here, and catch up on all the titles I've neglected to showcase. So keep checking back, folks.

Rick MckInney's book bought me to your sight as I shall me meeting him in a couple of weeks. I am penning muy own novel related to the AT and just finished a very good book that perhaps you might highlight here too, Davis Miller's "AWOL on the Appalachian Trail".

I met Rick at a booffair about a month ago and he wanted me to pass on salutations too. I don't see any reason blogging rom you! David Miller has agreed to to one of mt "official readers" as I get into my novel (now 100 pages completed on the first draft). He indicated that you were to be trusted as a reader of editor and I wondered if you might agree to some role (non-specific at this moment) depending on your available time.
